County of Manderscheid-Schleiden
This page covers the lineage-based country of Manderscheid-Schleiden. Its core territory consisted of the geographic county of the same name, although it lost sovereignty (but not administrative rights) over it in 1546. It also formed personal unions with other countries and acquired administrative rights to territory under the sovereignty of yet other countries. No places have been assigned to this country, so I give it no simplified name. Instead, I append “Schleiden” to the simplified names of remote geographic countries with which it was in personal union and of quasi-countries over which it had administrative rights.
Anything involving territory outside of Manderscheidian Germany is rendered in gray. Events and countries outside the temporal scope of the database are rendered in italics.
