The remaining quasi-countries all administered Herrschaft Gelsdorf, and nothing else, after the Counts of Virneburg became extinct in 1545. Its status was under dispute until 1572, but as Manderscheid created a Virneburg partition before the resolution, I thought it was simpler to recognize the Manderscheidian claim from the beginning rather than explain why, between 1560 and 1572, there was a country with Virneburg in its name that administered no former Virneburg territory. Gelsdorf switched to Jülich sovereignty in 1688 and became independent in 1737.
