Amt Lipperode
Amt Lipperode was geographically separate from the rest of the County of Lippe, consisting of two villages on either side of Lippstadt. It was spun off in 1613 as part of subordinate County of Lippe-Alverdissen. When the Count of Lippe-Alverdissen inherited a portion of Schaumburg in 1647, Lipperode was incorporated into the fully sovereign County of Schaumburg-Lippe. In 1681, it was spun off again to the subordinate County of Schaumburg-Lippe-Alverdissen. It was returned to Lippe-Detmold in 1748 as part of a settlement between the two sovereign countries.
