Unterherrschaften associated with Amt Hülchrath

The fourteen Unterherrschaften associated with Amt Hülchrath were under the sovereignty of the Electorate of Cologne, but were not administered by his appointees.  Their association with the Amt was primarily for statistical purposes. Eight of the Unterherrschaften were administered by Electorate subjects throughout the period covered by the database and so were considered part of the Electorate.

The other six Unterherrschaften were administered by foreigners (excepting Erbvogtei Köln after 1683). Sovereignty over Herrlichkeit Riehl was disputed by the Duchy of Jülich and its administration was the responsibility of a subject of the Duchy of Berg. For purposes of a simplified country name, I assign it to “Bonn\Jülich-Berg”. The countries to which the other five belonged are listed below:
