Grafschaft Hohenlimburg

“Grafshaft Hohenlimburg” and the “County of Limburg-Hohenlimburg” are basically the same entity—the former a subdivision (rendered in German, as all subdivisions are) and the latter a country (rendered in English, as all countries are). The country (County), whether it was governed as a condominium or a unitary state, was never subdivided. During the period covered by this project, “Grafshaft Hohenlimburg” is just a dummy subdivision used to create a place list. It is not included in the full place name of villages in the Grafschaft.
