Gericht Kleutsch

Gericht Kleutsch was not owned by any of the princes of Anhalt in 1606 when the principality was divided and so was not assigned to a formal Amt. It was recognized as being under the sovereignty of Anhalt-Dessau, but administration was the responsibility of the owners. However, between 1632 and 1643, is was part of the subordinate Principality of Anhalt-Dessau-Wörlitz. In roughly 1708, Kleutsch was acquired by the Prince and was incorporated into Amt Pötnitz, which, in turn, became part of Amt Oranienbaum in 1819.
