Amt Ebstorf
A convent was established at Ebstorf in the 12th century and it began excercising secular authority in the area north of Uelzen and west of the Ilmenau River. When Welfian territory was partitioned in 1409, Ebstorf was assigned to the Principality of Lüneburg. The secular authority of the convent was transferred to an Amt in 1528.
The Amt consisted of six subdivisions known as “Feeste”. It was never included in any spin-off principalities.
