Amt Coswig
Amt Coswig was one of the original Ämter assigned to Anhalt-Zerbst when the Principality of Anhalt was divided in 1606. It was expanded in 1797 when Anhalt-Zerbst was abolished and its land divided among the remaining three principalities. At that time, several villages were reassigned to Amt Coswig and the Amt itself was assigned to Anhalt-Bernburg.
