Amt Brake
In 1613, Amt Brake was spun off as the core of the subordinate county of Lippe-Brake. The Brake line died out in 1709, but it was not until a territorial dispute was resolved in 1748 that the Amt was formally returned to Lippe-Detmold. It thereafter remained part of that county/principality.
