Amt Boslar

The territory of Amt Boslar was probably part of the Duchy of Limburg before becoming part of the Duchy of Jülich in 1414. It originally consisted of two Dingstühle, but they were combined in 1790.

Stadt Linnich became part of the Duchy in 1392. It was not legally part of the Amt, but was administered as if it were. Similarly, Herrschaft Breitenbend and Herrlichkeit Tetz were not legally part of the Amt, but were grouped with it for statistical purposes. They were administered by local nobles and are treated as part of the Duchy.
