  • 1607: Created upon the partition of the County of Nassau-Dillenburg
  • 1620: Acquired the following:
    • Amt Stuhlgebiet and villages used to create Amt Mengerskirchen upon the termination of Dillenburg-Beilstein
    • The Dehrner Zehnt from Dillenburg-Diez, which was added to Amt Hadamar
  • 1628: Traded its 25% interest in Amt Camberg to Dillenburg-Diez in exchange for two more villages to add to Amt Mengerskirchen
  • 1631: Traded its 50% interest in Herrschaft Altweilnau to Saarbrücken-Idstein in exchange for its 25% interest in Gericht Esterau
  • 1643: Sold Gericht Esterau and Vogtei Isselbach to Peter Melander, who combined them into the new County of Holzappel
  • 1711: Extinction of Hadamar line; governance uninterrupted
  • 1717: Terminated upon agreement on the dispersal of its territory (1)
