    • 1610: Bentheim-Steinfurt spins off administrative rights over Alpen and Helpenstein to Bentheim-Alpen and spins off administrative rights over Erbvogtei to Tecklenburg
    • 1623: Bentheim-Steinfurt reacquires administrative rights over Erbvogtei from Tecklenburg
    • 1629: Bentheim-Steinfurt temporarily reacquries administrative rights over Alpen and Helpenstein until the succession to the extinct Alpen line can be resolved
    • 1632: Quasi-country terminated when Alpen succession is decided in favor of the Tecklenburg line
