Amt Kriekenbeck

The County of Kriekenbeck existed as early as the 11th century. Originally independent, the county fell under the sovereignty of the Archbishop of Cologne and the County of Mark before being acquired by the County of Guelders in 1243. (Venlo, a city now in the Netherlands, left the Amt in 1343.) Kriekenbeck was established as an Amt, but beginning in 1673, the places listed below were actually Herrlichkeiten subordinate to the Amt.
