Amt Driedorf
Driedorf was founded in the 12th century and a Gericht/Amt had been established there by the 14th century. When Ottonian lands were partitioned in 1607, Driedorf was awarded to the County of Beilstein. When the Beilstein line died out, Driedorf was reassigned to the County of Dillenburg and remained part of that county/Landesteil through 1806. In 1782, when Amt Beilstein was abolished, the villages of Beilstein and Rodenroth were reassigned to Amt Driedorf.
