Amt Ebersbach
Gericht/Amt Ebersbach consisted entirely of the parish of the same name and may have been established as early as the 13th century. The Amt name underwent multiple spelling changes over the years and its main village (actually a consolidation of three of the below-listed villages) is currently rendered as Ewersbach. When Ottonian lands were partitioned in 1607, Amt Ebersbach was assigned to the County of Dillenburg and remained part of that county/Landesteil through 1806.
