Subdivisions owned by the Paderborn Cathederal Chapter
Territory owned by the Paderborn Cathederal Chapter was excluded from the system of local government operated by the Bishop. The two largest villages, Lippspringe and Bredenborn, had their own administrators. All the rest, I have placed in a “Samtgericht” named after the largest village therein.
In 1803, after the Bishopric had been secularized as a Principality, Bredenborn was assigned to the Oberwaldischer Kreis, Blankenrode was assigned to the Warburger Kreis and the remaining villages were assigned to the Unterwaldischer Kreis.
