Amt Oerlinghausen
and predecessor (pre-1746) Vogtei
Amt Detmold was divided into Vogteien starting in 1535. Thereafter, whenever the County of Lippe was divided, Amt Detmold and all of its Vogteien remained part of the core county, namely Lippe-Detmold. Over time, most of the Vogteien in Amt Detmold broke off and formed their own Ämter. The Vogtei of Oerlinghausen broke off to form its own Amt in 1746.
