Jointly-Ruled Germany
This nation is reserved for territories in which sovereignty follows one of two patterns:
- A two-country condominium in which the two countries are in different nations and sovereignty is split exactly equally; and
- A condominium between more than two countries, with at least two being in different nations and no nation having a sovereignty interest greater than 50 percent.
A condominium in which all countries belong to the same nation is placed in that nation.
A condominium in which one country has more than a 50 percent sovereignty share is placed in the nation of the majority-holding country.
Territories where multiple countries share administrative duties (such as judicial or tax collection rights), but where legal sovereignty remains with a single country, are not assigned to Jointly-Ruled Germany. Such territories are placed in the nation of the sole sovereign country.
