Valkenburgische Lehensherrschaft Hürth
Herrschaft Land Herzogenrath (then under the name of Rode) entered into a personal union with the Duchy of Limburg in 1155 and was fully integrated into the country in 1473. It contained territory in both modern Germany and the modern Netherlands. Only the former are included in the database.
Herrschaft Land Valkenburg entered into a personal union with the Duchy of Brabant (and, by extension, the Duchy of Limburg) in 1347 and was fully integrated into the country in 1473. Except for the small exclave of Hürth, it was entirely within the territory of the modern Netherlands and is excluded from the database.
